No More Sacrifice

      i look to the cross and think of how
      people lived before You came
      burning their sacrifices
      to take away their shame

      thinking how much better
      life would be
      if someone could come
      to set them free

      and no more sacrifice
      no more killing of the lambs
      because you, you've done it all

      and no other would suffice
      because you paid the price
      to end the bloodshed once and for all

      how grateful we should be
      to look up and see
      a man dying on a cross
      just so i could simply be

      how different life is
      now that you've saved our lives
      so that there would only have to be
      but one sacrifice.
